In 1969, the McLennan County Medical Society founded Waco Family Medicine (WFM) to tackle the shortage of doctors, improve primary care access for low-income residents, and address economic development challenges in Waco. This initiative was a collaborative effort involving business, political, and medical leaders working together to resolve these community issues.

The Waco Family Medicine facility is a four-story, 147,000-square-foot medical office building constructed with a budget of $36 million. The design spans a nine-acre site, with the first floor covering approximately 41,000 square feet and housing various diagnostic and treatment services along with building support. The second floor, also around 40,000 square feet, contains a range of offices, while the third and fourth floors, each about 31,000 square feet, are dedicated to clinics.

FMG Design was tasked with creating a refined experiential and wayfinding graphics program for the site, exterior, and interior of the Waco Family Medicine Central Campus. This project included developing identification, directional, and regulatory graphics for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as well as a donor recognition wall. The donor recognition wall, part of a capital campaign, features a limited number of donors but is designed to accommodate future large donations.
