Bayfront Medical Center is a level two trauma center. This teaching hospital is not-for-profit and is located in downtown St. Petersburg only a few blocks from Tampa Bay. Bayfront was originally organized as the St. Petersburg Sanitarium in 1906, and over the next six decades redesignated as the Good Samaritan Hospital, Augusta Memorial Hospital, City Hospital, Mound Park Hospital, and finally, in 1968, Bayfront Medical Center.

FMG developed a major campus environmental graphics program and new standards for interior wayfinding.
